A Thank You Letter

Thank you for being my inspiration ever since our first meet.

Thank you for showing me that age is just a number and it doesn’t stop you from chasing your dream.

Thank you for being the one who always took care of me even though it was never your job to.

Thank you for offering any help I never ask you for.

Thank you for remembering the small detail about me.

Thank you for being the only person I can share my laughter with casually.

Thank you for saying no when your friend asked you something inappropriate even though it was just a joke.

Sometimes I wish these Covid-19 cases aren’t as high as it is now so that I can talk to you more often. I wish things would just go back to normal. So that if I’m lost in the moment, you will be the one who guides me. I don’t know whether I regret it or not for not taking every chance I had. My heart won’t let me be a burden to someone. I don’t like to be someone’s responsibility.

I knew exactly that one day it will all come to an end, but this kind of ending wasn’t the one I expected. However, life goes on, whether I like it or not, whether I want it or not. Anyways, it’s a thank you letter which you will probably never read. A thank you letter for all the things you did unconsciously.

It may hurt for a little while knowing we were meant to part ways. But it’s either so that we could find each other again or just that we were not meant to be together. For now, I just want to seize every opportunity that life offers me, just like you did with yours.

“What is meant for you, will reach you even if it is beneath two mountains. What isn’t meant for you, won’t reach you even if it is between your two lips.”

Until our paths cross again, I will try to live my life to the fullest and enjoy each day that goes by without you.
